Digital Ethics & Privacy

Ethics are the things we do, the way we treat one another, and the decisions we make. Ethics is knowing right from wrong and abiding by what is good in the situation. Ethics is what we live by everyday and a big part of this world today is Digital Ethics. Digital Ethics is using electronics to catch something that is not right and it is caught on cell phones now a days. Things like fights, sex tapes, police brutality, and certain people that want to be famous by doing dumb things that make us laugh are caught digitally. The biggest case now that deals with Digital Ethics is the Walter Scot shooting in my hometown of North Charleston Sc. A police was chasing a an African American man who was not even running that fast but decided to pull his pistol out an shoot the victim 6 times in the back. That is against the police code of ethics to shoot someone in the back that is never suppose to occur. Their was a guy near by who caught everything on tape with his good digital ethics who has the police behind bars and charged for murder. This is when it s good to have digital ethics because if they didn't have the video it would be another case of a black man murdered by the white man with no justice. Privacy back in the day compared to now has completely changed, back in the day people would like to keep things more private and in house. Even in media there was a lot of gatekeeping which things were chosen to be released or stay private. Now people on social media, the press and people looking for attention have no chill. There is no such thing as privacy today because its so easy to hack, and to take something that's not yours. Also because now a days there is more acceptance to what there was any questions going to be denied in the past. Things have completely changed technology will continue to enhance and privacy will continue to lessen.
